Support Mendocino County Safe Space Project (MCSSP) a free LGBTQIA2S+ resource in rural Northern California

Born from personal experiences with bigotry, MCSSP is committed to creating true allies for the LGBTQIA2S+ community. We recognized that simply displaying a rainbow flag doesn’t guarantee safety, so we developed a series of workshops focused on cultural humility. Our mission is to provide free training for businesses, individuals, and organizations throughout our rural county, building a network of safe spaces and supportive people.

Launched during Pride Month 2024, our initiative has quickly gained momentum, revealing a significant demand for our services. However, our capacity to meet this need is limited, and without generous donors like you, we risk losing our momentum.

These are extremely challenging times for the LGBTQIA community, and we strive to be a beacon of hope. Your donations will empower us to enhance our program, expand our outreach, and create a robust online presence.

Currently, we need 4 full-time employees to effectively run MCSSP, yet we can barely support our 2 part-time staff. Our goal amount of $125,000 will sustain our organization for a year, ensuring we can keep going and growing, no matter what happens federally.  With your support, we can grow into a sustainable resource for our community for generations to come.
