Roy Moyra Scholarship

Since 2025, MCSSP has facilitated the Roy Moyra Memorial Scholarship. Open to all high school students in Mendocino County who identify as LGBTQIA2S+, award funds range from $500 to $1,500 to help young people pursue their dreams.‍ The Roy Moyra Scholarship can be used for things such as creative projects, higher education, career exploration, travel related to personal or professional development, or other expenses that support your goals.

To apply MCSSP asks students to submit a story expressing their experiences and passions, whether through an art piece, essay, video or audio recording. Eligible LGBTQIA students must complete their high school degree during the current school year and be residents of Mendocino County. There is no GPA requirement for the scholarship.
