Safe Space Policies

Privacy

MCSSP will do everything in our power to maintain your confidentiality and security. We do not share or sell any information submitted. This goes for all of our community interactions: events, trainings, online forms, newsletter subscribers, or anything else!

If you happen to see an image or photography that shows any likeness of a person or yourself that requires anonymity, please contact us immediately and we’ll remove it no questions asked.

Data Tracking

The application platforms we utilize to run this website and our online activities are listed below. To the best of our ability we’ve outlined how data is handled. MCSSP does not utilize trackers or marketing bots ever, but some of the tools we use create cookies for maintaining cohesiveness between our content and user interface functions.

Please remember we are a very small team working on a shoe-string budget. The apps we select for use are based on cost and ease of integration.

  • Squarespace - website hosting
Squarespace sites use two main types of cookies: Necessary Cookies (to keep your site running) and Analytics Performance Cookies (to track visits). By default, cookies and identifiers collect visitor data like IP addresses, device info, and browsing duration to populate built-in dashboards like Squarespace Analytics and the Activity Log.

  • Zeffy - donations and newsletter management
Zeffy uses cookies and tracking technologies (like tags and pixels) primarily to provide internal analytics and conduct marketing, with explicit donor consent. However, they do not sell your donor data to third parties, and it is against their Terms of Service for nonprofits to use donor data for any purpose unrelated to the transaction.

  • Google Docs - event registration
Form & Cookie Usage: Data submitted via user forms and associated cookies are primarily used for security (e.g., stopping bots and fraud) and to deliver personalized search results or ads. Google does not sell your personal data or cookie information to third parties. However, they do use this data internally to build anonymous user profiles, prevent spam and abuse, and target advertisements across their network.
